Sundays until Sunset:  Church is open for silent meditation Doors are open for visitors every Sunday.

 

Thursday, April 2nd, 5:30 pm:  Maundy Thursday Simple meal and communion. Open to all our friends and island neighbors. 

 

Friday, April 3rd, 7:00 pm:  Good Friday Service  Open to all our friends and island neighbors. 

 

Sunday, April 5th, 10:30 am:  Easter Service Join us for this jubilant service, followed by the traditional Easter Egg Hunt for children in the cemetery and Easter brunch in the Fellowship Hall. Open to all our friends and island neighbors. 

 

Wednesday, April 8th, 6:30 pm:  Book Group Potluck and Discussion of Marcus Borg's Evolution of the Word starting at 7 pm.  We will also be deciding our next books. 

 

Tuesday, April 14th, 5:30 pm:  Monthly Parish Dinner Salmon and warm pasta salad this month.  Suggested donation $8 per person.  Open to all our friends and island neighbors. 

 

Sunday, April 19th, 11:30 am:  Congregational Potluck and "Church Hall" Meeting Open to all our friends and island neighbors, we will be discussing last year's search committee survey results and our visions for the church. 

 

Every Monday:

Girl Scouts: 2:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall

AA Meeting:   7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. 

 

Every Wednesday:

Elderberries (for those fifty years old and over): 11 am to 2 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Card games, conversation, light refreshments, healthy lunch, occasional day trips are included in this fun program.  $1 suggested donation.  $2 on pizza days the first Wednesday of the month. 

 

Every Sunday:

Quiet Meditation in the sanctuary:  Noon until sunset.

 

Labyrinth

You are welcome to walk our labyrinth in the church woods.  The public is also welcome to access the church beach from our parking lot.  Please pack out what you pack in.

 

"Finding Beach and Carlisle"

The Parish Activities Board has published a unique compilation of the stories of how Lummi Island's settlers came to the island.  The book is called "Finding Beach and Carlisle" since it traces the history of our early post offices...at Beach and, for a short time, at Carlisle, the first salmon cannery on the island. 

 

The book includes includes the stories of the Bowdens, Frank Wright, Bill King, Kathy Scott, the McDonalds, the Nordensson, Wad Dunn, the Currys, Fray and Estrid Baker, and Carl and Ilse Otto.  .  It is available for an $18 donation to Lummi Island Congregational Church.   Copies can be ordered by sending a check for $18 per book plus $5.95 to cover shipping and handling for up to 5 copies to:

"Finding Lummi Island"

The Parish Activities Board published its first compilation of stories of the Lummi Island's original settlers first found the island back around the year 1900 or before.  The book is called "Finding Lummi Island" and includes the stories of Christian Tuttle, Wade Hampton Beach, Frederick Lane, William Legoe, Melzar and Lucy Granger, Ripley Jonathan Richards, Arthur Payne, Captain James Tarte, Fannie Winslow Austin Granger, Thomas Hubert De Haven, and Frank Mortimer Taft.  It is available for a $15 donation to Lummi Island Congregational Church.   Copies can be ordered by sending a check for $15 per book plus $5.95 to cover shipping and handling for up to 5 copies to:
