WE APPROACH GOD
Call to Worship
One: Let us praise God.
Many: Let us praise the One who has filled the
earth with blessings.
One: Let us sing to the Creator who has blessed our lives with joy.
Many: Let us rejoice in God and in all creation.
One: Everyone is welcome here.
Many: Come let us worship God.
*Opening Hymn # 28
For the Beauty of the Earth
*Prayer of Confession (unison)
Gracious God, we confess we do not always see the gifts you have
placed in our lives. You have strewn our daily paths with beauty,
but our eyes are sometimes dull; we stumble by not seeing. You
have warmed our days with mercy, but our faith grows cool. Be with
us, O God, we pray, and blow through us like a fresh salt breeze.
Open
us to your Spirit working in and among us, and teach us to praise
you
in this time of worship and in our lives. Amen.

Take these gifts, and let them be, used as blessings sent from thee.
Take our lives and use us all, for your glory and your
call.
*Prayer of Dedication
(unison)
As Jesus blessed the loaves and fish in Galilee, we seek
your
blessing on what we share today, dear God.
Accomplish your
purposes, we pray, through these gifts and in our
lives. Amen.
Communion
Prayer and the Lord’s Prayer
(Following:
God hear our prayer,
you may respond:
in your love answer.)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And
forgive us our trespasses,
as
we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom,
and
the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Sung Response
(sung 3 times)
Taizé
Wait for the Lord, whose day is near.
Wait for the Lord: keep watch, take heart!
Sharing
Bread and Cup
All are welcome at this table.
To receive communion, please come forward,
take
a large piece of bread, and dip it in either the cup of juice or wine.
The cup with ribbon is wine.
*Prayer of Thanksgiving
(unison)
Since, dear God, in this place, at this table, we have touched, we
have tasted, and we have heard the signs of your love
for us, grant
that we may go away from this time filled with our
love for you and
overflowing with your love for those we encounter.
Amen.
*Closing Hymn # 562
Take My Gifts
Benediction
Sung Response
Bind us together, Lord, bind us together.
With cords that cannot
be broken.
Bind us together, Lord, bind us together.
Bind us together with love.
There is only one God. There is only one King.
There is only one body. That is why I sing.
